Trials with Modesto over 4 years have consistently shown highly economic yield increases compared to not using an insecticide seed treatment. With current oilseed rape price levels, Modesto gave a positive benefit in 19 out of 21 trials, and an average benefit worth around £150 per hectare.

In comparison with the other seed treatments available, Modesto plus HY-PRO Duet gave the highest yields and on average 0.15 t/ha over the thiamethoxam (TMX) -based comparison.

This difference between treatments was recorded from12 independently conducted trials, a demonstration of the consistent levels of establishment, and good early pest and disease control, including TuYV, given by Modesto.
